The Wren is a bird that regularly features high on peoples list of favourite species.
It’s diminutive size, strident song and mouse-like behaviour endear it to many.
This particular composition was really enjoyable to paint, as I was able to include some rusty metal and also some weathered wood. Adding the coiled twine gave some extra depth and texture to the finished composition.
