New Chromacolour acrylic painting featuring a Peregrine Falcon added to my Wildlife Paintings page.
Birds of prey are a subject that I find myself returning to time and time again, and the Peregrine is perhaps one of the most appealing to me.
My wildlife art is not just about accurate depiction of the wildlife subject, but just as importantly it is about rendering authentic and interesting settings in my compositions.
This old wreck which I encountered on the shoreline of the Scotish island of Mull, served me well for this painting. The wonderful textures of the flaking paint and rotting wood, combined with the interesting colour scheme just seemed to be ideal.
