New painting
New Chromacolour acrylic painting added to my Wildlife Paintings page.
Man-made structures do not hold much appeal for me, until they have begun to deteriorate and decay. Once metal begins to rust it becomes so much more appealing. There is a wonderful texture to the surface of the tin and I enjoy working with the subtle colour changes.the colours
Such was the case with this old shed that I found on the Isle of Skye, and some years after first seeing this structure I decided to incorporate it in a composition.
Little owls are often to be found around old buildings and so this seemed like the ideal wildlife subject to include here.
